If you haven't notice, it is hard to take a picture of yourself with the iPhone because you have to tap on the small on-screen shutter button which is facing away from you during self-photo intake.

This is where this app shines.

It has two modes:

• Face Detection mode - Snaps photo automatically when it detects a face. Just point the camera at yourself and let it do the rest.

Now you can bring along your home PC anywhere as long as you have your iPhone with you (and a Data Plan of course). 

The applications are limitless. I use it to:

• Surf websites that needs Java plugin (e.g. online movie ticket booking)
• Monitor my Torrent downloads
• Send a file from my home PC to my office email (life saver!)
• etc...

You just need to install TeamViewer for PC (I written the guide a while ago), download this free app for iPhone and you're good to go!

I tried this app using Edge connection and it's quite usable. Though 3G or higher connection is recommended to have a smooth experience :) Try setting quality to 'Optimize speed' in the settings if your internet is slow.

PS: Make sure you have a data plan because normal mobile internet charges apply when using this app.

Accessing your Android's files/folders never been easier with this Free app.

1) Install the app on your Android.

2) Start the app and do this one time setup -> Fill in any username/password and hit 'Save'.

3) On the next screen hit 'Start' to start the FTP server. Note the Wifi URL will be used in the next step.

4) On your PC, open Windows Explorer and type in the Wifi URL on the address bar. Enter your username/password when prompted.

5) That's it, now you should see all your files on your Android device. Navigate to the /sdcard/ folder as it is where your normal files are located. (better don't touch the other folders as they contain system files)

PS: If you're having trouble connecting even though you followed the steps, try changing the 'stay within folder' settings from '/sdcard' to just '/' and see if that solves the problem.

You may add a shortcut for instant access in the future:

• Right click My Computer > Add a Network Location. 
• Type in ftp://myusername:mypassword@192.169.1.100:2121/sdcard and give it a name. (Remember to change the Wifi URL to your own)

Increase Battery Life,Android Phones ~~>

Smartphone technology is advancing so fast that the battery counterpart couldn't keep up. This is why we need to charge our phones more often than we used to decades ago. Here are some tips to squeeze a little bit more juice from your phone.

• Screen display uses a lot of battery. Set the screen brightness lower or turn on Auto Brightness. I prefer to set the brightness manually though. Also, turn your phone's screen off by locking it the moment you finish using your phone.
• Disable GPS if you're not using it. This is the main culprit that your phone is draining battery more than it needs to when you leave it idle.
• Disable Wifi, unless you're close to a stable source all the time.
• Disable 3G if you don't need the speed. Edge is normally enough for WhatsApping. To disable 3G and stick with Edge, go to Settings > Wireless & networks > Mobile networks > Network mode > GSM only.
• Disable Bluetooth when you're not using it.

[This is a no-no..]

The above for settings can be easily toggled in the home screen of most Android phones. Just remember to off all of them when you're leaving your phone idle :)

It is also wise to turn off Wireless Network Positioning (used for Google location data), go to Settings > Location > uncheck Use wireless networks.

Now for other less important tips:

• Don't use live wallpapers, they are battery drainers.
• Many widgets pull data from the net, putting too much of those on the homescreen drains a lot of batteries. The main weather app does it a lot, so it is wise to pull weather information only when you need it.. Go to Menu > All Programs > Weather to launch the app, after that tap your menu button, choose 'Settings' and disable 'Update Automatically'.
• Some programs such as WhatsApp, Facebook, and Gmail syncs every 15 minutes, so it is better to set them to longer interval such as one hour or two. To increase the update interval you'll have to do it within the individual apps. If you doesn't need auto sync feature (just sync it manually when you need to) just go to Settings > Accounts and sync > uncheck Auto-sync.
• Always-On Mobile Data is on by default, might be wise to turn it off. Go to Settings > Wireless & networks > Mobile networks > Enable always-on mobile data.
• Last but not least, go to Settings > About phone > Battery usage to check what's been draining your battery the most.

specially when you are on a shared computer in your company and you may have your certain secret data stored in your word document that should not be accessed by your boss or other employee’s.

To deal with such a situation Microsoft word 2007 integrated a security feature in Microsoft word so that you can password protect your files.

just follow these simple steps to make your document protected

Click on the Microsoft Office Button present on the top left corner of the window.

Now Click on the Save As option

Now a new window will pop up.

Click on Tools option at the bottom of the window.

Now you will have two options.

You can select either one or both options

One is Password To Open it will ask for the password every time the document is opened.

So to view the document you have to enter the password first.

Second is Password To Modify it will ask for the password every time somebody tries to modify the document.

Block access to drives in Windows 7 ~~>

To block access to drive go to Computer and right click on the drive and select properties. In the properties window click on ‘Security’ tab. Select the user account you want to restrict and click on edit.

Change the permissions according to your need for user groups or a particular user and click Apply and then OK. It will not work for users with admin account as even they have the same rights as you so they can revert all permissions. You will need an admin account to perform this task.

These OCR software also preserve the formmating of the orignal scanned document into converted document.They are not 100% accurate and the converted document still requires some editing.But it is better to use an OCR software and do some editing rather to type the whole Doument.

Earlier I have reviewed top Free OCR softwares .If you have microsoft office installed in your computer then you won’t need any other third-party software as you can useMicrosoft Office OneNote to copy text from image.

Trick to Copy Text From Any Image:-

• For this you have to install MS-Office on your system.
• Now open Microsoft Office OneNote (Start–>All Programs–>Microsoft Office–>Microsoft Office OneNote).
• Drag and Drop the image in the MS-OneNote window from which you want copy the text.
• Now Right-Click on the image and select Copy Text From Picture option.

• Open Notepad or MS-Office (where you want save the text) and paste the content there.

Now you have the whole text in your notepad or Ms-Office.You can edit or format it and save only the required excerpt.
